Continuing
education of staff
In
order to keep up to date with advances in medicine and technology, the Centre
has a policy of continuing education of each employee. Over 2.1% of the
salary budget is spent on continuing medical education. There is a specific
budget to allow staff from the Centre to attend national and international
meetings, to exchange knowledge and experience, to plan clinical studies and
participate in therapeutic trials.
The medical and
scientific library, which is open to the Centre employees and doctors from
adjacent hospitals has 200 journal subscriptions and is a specialised complement
of the University libraries of Caen. It has modern computer literature research
facilities.
