Genetics in oncology
Thanks
to the financial help from the regional leagues against cancer, we have been
able to establish recently a genetic oncology clinic. The geneticist
collects family histories for those families with multiple cancer victims. By
building the family tree and analysing systematic blood tests, it may be
possible to predict the personal risk of cancer for each family member and
propose adapted screening procedures.
