The Baclesse Center is proud to announce that it has been awarded the "Greenbloc or Eco-Responsible Block" label byARS Normandie andOMÉDIT Normandie!
Responsible for 25% of the healthcare sector's environmental impact, operating theatres play a major role in reducing the carbon footprint of hospitals. With this in mind, the operating room at the Centre Baclesse has initiated a collective eco-responsible approach by deploying the Green Bloc scheme.
Since 2019, the team's involvement has led to concrete actions:
- Elimination of inhaled anaesthetics with a high carbon footprint
- Improving waste sorting by all stakeholders
- Optimization of ready-to-use surgical kits to eliminate unused material
- The development of non-medicinal techniques
This label reinforces the Centre Baclesse's commitment to ecological transition, one of the facility's three strategic priorities, alongside the shift to ambulatory care and digital technology.
