From the ring road

From Cherbourg > Paris: Take exit no. 5 and follow the CHU côte de Nacre signs, then Centre François Baclesse.

In the direction Paris > Cherbourg: Take the new exit n° 4.1 .

Parking

The entrance to the visitors' parking lot is located allée de la Recherche (between the CHU de Caen and avenue général Harris).

Visitor parking (P10) is chargeable after 1h30. See P10 parking rates. Visitors with a medical prescription for individual transport may have their parking fees reimbursed by their health insurance.

Disabled parking spaces are located before and after the stairs at the main entrance to the Center.

The elevator to the entrance hall is located at the bottom left of the main entrance staircase.

The following streetcar lines serve stops near the Centre François Baclesse:

• Streetcar T1: Cité U Lebisey stop
• Streetcar T2: CHU stop
• A P+R park-and-ride facility is located at the CAEN Cote de Nacre stop.

Drop-off point for SLVs, cabs and ambulances

Along the north facade of the Center, a ramp reserved for VSL, cabs and ambulances provides access to a covered airlock for patient drop-off.

Where to park for SLVs, cabs and ambulances ?

A parking area is reserved for :

• next to the covered airlock, on the north side of the Center.
• after the main entrance to the Centre, in the visitors' parking lot.

Where to park SLVs and cabs

VSLs and cabs also have parking spaces in the elevated parking lot to the right of the delivery entrance. This parking area is reserved for light vehicles.

• The Centre Baclesse is accessible via several cycle paths, including the Périph'Vélo from downtown Caen and the cycle path along boulevard Général Harris.

• Bicycle parking is available for Centre Baclesse users at the entrance to parking lot P10.

From Caen SNCF station to Baclesse

By streetcar:

• From the station, take the " Place de la gare " exit.
• Then go to the first streetcar platform on the station side and take streetcar T1.
  Get off at the " Cité U Lébisey "stop .
• Otherwise, take the " Parking " exit
• at the rear of the station and take the Tram T2 to the Gare-Rives de l'Orne stop.
  Get off at the " CHU "stop.

Journey time: 20-minute streetcar ride + 5-minute walk

By cab:

• The passenger pick-up area is just outside the station, on the left.

Caen - Carpiquet Airport

The airport is located in the commune of Carpiquet, 8 km west of Caen.

From Caen - Carpiquet airport :

1. Take bus line 3 towards IFS Jean Vilar,
2. Get off at "Théâtre" stop
3. Then take bus line 5 towards Hérouville St Clair - Sphère
4. Get off at "Baclesse" stop

Journey time: approx. 45 min.

Deauville - Saint Gatien Airport

The airport is 9 km from Deauville and 50 km from Caen.
