The Baclesse Center is continuing to expand its technical capabilities in nuclear medicine with the installation of a new, state-of-the-art hybrid imaging system: Symbia Pro.specta™.

This equipment combines a gamma camera with a state-of-the-art scanner (TEMP/TDM), offering enhanced performance in molecular imaging. It enables increasingly precise examinations across a wide range of indications, particularly in oncology, while improving the quality of patient care.

Technology That Enhances the Quality of Care

Thanks to this new acquisition, the nuclear medicine department has benefited from several major advancements.

First and foremost, the system improves image quality through advanced reconstruction technologies, resulting in greater diagnostic accuracy.

Its 32-row scanner, equipped with a state-of-the-art detector and specialized filtering, also helps reduce the radiation dose delivered to patients while maintaining excellent image quality.

The equipment also incorporates quantitative imaging (XSPECT), opening up new possibilities for the advancement of clinical dosimetry and personalized medicine. This development is a significant asset in supporting progress in innovative treatments in nuclear medicine.

Greater comfort for patients… and healthcare professionals

Beyond its technical capabilities, Symbia Pro.specta™ was designed to streamline the examination process.

Automatic collimator changes and rapid removal of the examination table help streamline patient care, reduce handling time, andimprove working conditions for staff, while minimizing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.

These developments also help make the exam more comfortable for patients.

Investing in Innovation to Shape the Future of Medicine

The acquisition of this new equipment demonstrates the Baclesse Center’s commitment to continuing its investments in cutting-edge technologies that benefit patients, innovation, and clinical research.

By expanding the capabilities of its nuclear medicine department, the Center reaffirms its commitment to ever more precise, personalized, and effective medicine, for the benefit of patients today and tomorrow.
