With the handover of the 5th floor, the O'ZEN project to modernize the hospitalization floors is well underway.
After investing heavily in high-tech, innovative and high-performance medical equipment, the Centre François Baclesse decided to modernize its hospitalization services, to meet two objectives:
- improve the quality of hotel care for its patients,
- improve working conditions for its staff.
To begin with, three departments were completely renovated:
- in 2015 and 2016: the Ambulatory Surgery and Weekday Surgery departments (located on the 2nd floor),
- in 2017: the Oncology Supportive Care Consultations service (located on the 4th floor West).
Through the O'ZEN project, the hospital then embarked on an ambitious program to modernize its medical hospitalization departments.

Heavy work on an occupied site was carried out over a 2-year period. The work involved the complete renovation of 2 medical wards, to be delivered in May 2019 (on the 4th floor) and October 2020 (on the 5th floor).
