Department missions
Care
The oral cavity:
- The department’s aim is to offer comprehensive surgical care for tumours of the oral cavity (gums, tongue, cheek, palate, etc.) and salivary gland tumours.
- The surgeons are trained in microsurgery and specialised in reconstructive surgery of the head and neck.
- The dentistry department provides specialised care before, during and after cancer treatment (radiotherapy, chemotherapy, calcium metablolism modifiers (biphosphanates))
Skin:
- Our surgeons’ expertise, in collaboration with dermatologists, enables initial surgery and referral surgery for skin cancer (carcinoma, melanoma, sarcoma, etc.) and reconstructive surgery.
Sequelae:
- We propose integrated surgery within a personal post-cancer sequelae (after effects) care path: jaw osteonecrosis, facial paralysis, scar retraction, limited mouth opening and other functional sequelae.
Our surgical care is integrated within global oncology care, defined in a consensual manner with all specialists during MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) meetings.
