Department mission

The radiology department is involved at different stages of cancer care, via activities in diagnostic radiology (to reach a diagnosis, by screening and characterising the tumour and its extension, and to evaluate response to treatment), and in interventional radiology (tumour diagnosis and treatment through guided radiology, using innovative and minimally invasive techniques, without resorting to surgery).

    • Bone consolidation (cementoplasty or spondyloplasty, vertebroplasty, sarcoplasty) and percutaneous screwing
    • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) – radiofrequency ablation and cryotherapy::
      • destruction of tumours by radiofrequency (heat treatment)
      • destruction of tumours by percutaneous cryoablation (cold treatment)

A totally refurbished radiology department

After 18 months of renovation work, the radiology department opened in its present-day configuration on 8 June 2020. It has been restructured to offer a far more functional department:

  • Improved patient reception
  • Optimised mobility of patients and professionals
  • Development of interventional radiology, thanks to the installation of a second CT-Scanner (Siemens Confidence RT Pro) within the controlled zone, in identical conditions to those of a surgical theatre.

  • 1 Philips Incisive CT scanner for diagnosis (2020)
  • 1 shared Siemens Confidence RT Pro scanner (2020)
  • 1 Siemens Aera MRI ‐ S(2017)
  • 1 Stephanix Evidence digital radiology table (2011)

Senology equipment:

  • 1 digital mammogram
  • 1 breast micro/macrobiopsy system
