Due to construction work on the new CHU, service to the CHU / Baclesse / Campus 5 sector will change on Monday July 1, 2024.
The Morice, Baclesse, CHU and Campus 5 stops are no longer served.
Work on the allée de la Recherche, between the Pôle Femmes Enfants and the CHU, is causing road restrictions that prevent buses on the line from using certain lanes.
- Line 8 will terminate at the Sphère stop.
- From the CHU stop, go to the CHU station on streetcar T2
- From the Baclesse stop, transfer to the CHU station on streetcar T2, or to the Morice stop on line 5.
- From the Morice stop, transfer to the Morice stop on line 5, or to the Campus 5 stop on lines 5, 6 and 8.
- From the Campus 5 stop, go to the temporary Campus 5 stop on the RD401
- Lines 5 and 6 remain unchanged
The Campus 5 stop will be moved to the RD401, opposite the UFR des Sciences Pharmaceutiques de Caen. The line, meanwhile, will continue to serve the Campus 5 and Morice (rue Professeur Edouard Zarifian) stops.
At the end of this work period, estimated at 14 months, the line will return to its original route. Passengers will be informed if the work is extended or if new operations impact the network in the CHU area.
