On April 20, 2023, the Baclesse Trophy was held for the second year running at the Caen la mer Golf Club.
The aim of this golf competition (scramble à 2) is to raise funds to support the supportive care department, in order to improve the comfort and quality of life of patients treated at the Center.
A convivial day for a good cause...
The 90 participants started the day off at 8.20 a.m. with coffee and pastries, before setting off for the competition on an 18-hole course. Tee-offs were staggered throughout the morning until 12.10pm, with a Baclésienne team represented by 2 Stéphanes (Messrs BARDET and MADELAINE). The competition finished at around 5.30pm.
While the results of the competition were being calculated, Nathalie Guert, a professional singer, gave a free musical performance. This was followed by speeches from the President of the Golf Sports Association and health professionals from the Centre François Baclesse, and the presentation of prizes in the presence of 2 patients. This wonderful day ended with a friendly drink.
A big thank you to all the golfers, as well as to the various partners, sponsors and individuals supporting this action in aid of patients.

The event raised €6,935 for its second edition, compared with €2,665 last year.
In view of its success, the Trophée Baclesse will be held again in 2024 , for the third edition on Thursday, April 18. Take date!
