To mark its 70th anniversary, the Cabourg Lions Club reaffirmed its commitment to the fight against cancer by renewing its support for the François Baclesse Center.
Thanks to the many charitable initiatives organized throughout the year by its volunteers, the club was able to raise funds to support several projects that serve the public good. Among the beneficiaries is the François Baclesse Center, to which the Cabourg Lions Club has chosen to make a concrete contribution to support its mission of serving patients.
Generosity in Action
During a donation ceremony attended by partners and volunteers from the Cabourg Lions Club, a check for €10,000 was presented to Professor Roman ROUZIER, Executive Director of the Baclesse Center, to support the research activities conducted at the facility. This donation will help advance our understanding of cancer and accelerate the fight against it.
Committed to supporting patients throughout their care journey, the Cabourg Lions Club will supplement this support with a donation of €600 to fund foot reflexology sessions. This complementary therapy helps improve relaxation, comfort, and quality of life for patients undergoing treatment.
Through this two-pronged effort, the Cabourg Lions Club has once again demonstrated its commitment to taking concrete action alongside those affected by the disease, by supporting both medical innovation and human support. A total of €10,600 was donated to the François Baclesse Center, reflecting the generosity of the club’s members and the commitment of all those who participate in the charity events organized each year.
The François Baclesse Center extends its heartfelt thanks to the Cabourg Lions Club for its loyalty and commitment. This invaluable support directly contributes to advancing cancer research while improving the daily lives of the patients cared for at the center.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone!
