As part of the PIANOFORTE European partnership, the Université de Caen-Normandie and the Centre Baclesse are organizing a second intensive course on the radiobiology of healthy tissues.
Doctoral course
This session of doctoral-level courses takes place in the teaching department of the Centre Baclesse, from July 8 to 12, 2024. These courses are given to young researchers, master's students, PhD students, radiation protection officers, doctors... and cover the following topics:
- Complex DNA damage and repair
- Cytogenetics
- Cardiovascular effects
- Neurovascular effects
- Secondary cancers
- Immune response
- Targeted radionuclide therapy
What is the PIANOFORTE European partnership?
The PIANOFORTE European partnership for research into radiation protection was launched on June 1, 2022 for a period of 5 years. It aims to improve the protection of the public, workers, patients and the environment following exposure to ionizing radiation from environmental, occupational and medical sources.
The aim of this partnership is to contribute to the implementation of European policies such as the European Cancer Plan, the Green Pact for Growth, and the deployment of the roadmap for the reduction of industrial and natural risks.
This partnership brings together 58 partners representing 22 European Union countries as well as the United Kingdom and Norway. It is coordinated by France's Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (IRSN).
