On Saturday October 14, 2023, in Condé-sur-Vire (50), the2nd edition of the Pink Walk Against Cancer was organized by the town council in partnership with the Savencia Group and Elle & Vire. The aim of the walk was to raise awareness of breast cancer screening and raise funds to support the Centre Baclesse.
As in 2022, Martine SAVARY, deputy mayor of Condé-sur-Vire, and Patricia LEPAINTEUR, the town hall secretary, were in charge of organizing this solidarity walk.
- A few new features!
Each participant could choose to run or walk one of the 3 circuits on offer (5.5 km, 10.5 km, 12 km). There was something for everyone, and something for everyone!
A pink cap was offered to the first 500 participants.
- A real success
730 people dressed in pink were present for a "good cause" (350 people in 2022) and to support the Centre Baclesse.
- Donations to the Centre Baclesse
On Friday December1, 2023, Martine SAVARY and Patricia LEPAINTEUR, accompanied by Vincent BON, Technical Services Manager, Martine COQUOIN, Executive Assistant, Groupe Savencia and Céline DOUBLET, Elle & Vire Coordinator, met Hermeline DELEPOUVE, Communications and Fundraising Manager and Géraldine PAYEN, Donor Relations Manager at Centre Baclesse.
Mrs SAVARY and the organizers were proud to present a cheque for €7,328 to support breast cancer research at the Centre Baclesse.
Ms SAVARY is already thinking about the 2024 edition, " I'd like to reach 1,000 people! "...
