The team

The team is closely linked to the Inserm U1086 ANTICIPE unit, which makes part of its staff available to the platform.

  • Scientific managers: Laurent POULAIN and Louis-Bastien WEISWALD (Researchers)
  • Operational team :
    • Jérémie LE GOFF (Research engineer)
    • Romane FLORENT (ATER)
    • Lucie LECOUFLET (Assistant Engineer)
    • Guillaume DESMARTIN (Design Engineer)

Activities

The platform is open to all professional users (academic and industrial) wishing to use tumoroids available on the platform or to establish new tumoroid lines.
Tumoroids, three-dimensional multicellular structures obtained directly from patient tumor samples, faithfully reproduce the histological and molecular characteristics of the tumor from which they are derived.

The platform supports researchers and clinicians in setting up protocols for using tumor samples to produce these tumoroids, and/or for using the latter for clinical or fundamental research purposes.
It also ensures the production, preservation and processing of the organoids obtained. ORGAPRED works in partnership with other platforms for certain aspects of tumoroid characterization in molecular terms and/or evaluation of their response to treatment (notably the ImpedanCELL platform for real-time cellular imaging).

The services offered include

  • tumoroid production,
  • their preservation,
  • the creation of associated biological collections,
  • their histological and molecular characterization,
  • and assessing their response to treatment.
Tumoroid preservation

The ORGAPRED platform also offers on-demand training courses for scientific staff (technicians, engineers, PhD students or researchers) from academic or private laboratories wishing to learn about tumoroid production, processing or analysis protocols.

Technical resources

The platform is equipped with heavy or semi-heavy equipment for high-throughput tumoroid production, processing and analysis:

  • dedicated culture robot : MicroLab Starline platform (Hamilton),
  • real-time 3D cell imaging station: CellDiscoverer 7 (Zeiss),
  • CellRad irradiator (Faxitron)...
