Activities
PRISMM (Plateforme de Recherche et d'Innovation en Spectrométrie de Masse et Métabolomique) is a service, research and training platform focused primarily on the identification and quantification of new biomarkers. It offers the analysis and quantification of small molecules with a molecular weight of less than 2000 Da from a wide variety of samples, using innovative analytical methods with or without mass spectrometry. The platform's expertise applies to the identification, analysis and assay of small molecules using UHPLC-MS/MS, UHPLC-UV and HPLC-UV.
The platform's skills include the preparation of complex samples by solid-phase, liquid/liquid and printed polymer extraction. Small quantities of compounds of interest can also be purified from complex mixtures. Our mastery of extraction techniques enables us to analyze biomarkers in any type of matrix, whether related to health-related issues (serum, red blood cells, whole blood, urine, brain, cerebrospinal fluid, etc.) or to the environment (water, sediments, fish, molluscs, cephalopods, etc.). Large series of analyses can be performed. PRISMM has nationally and internationally recognized expertise in the analysis of DNA bases modified by exposure to genotoxic compounds (DNA adducts), as well as in the analysis of neurotransmitters and their metabolites.
Depending on the case, analyses can be carried out in the form of simple services, extended services for the development and validation of new analysis methods, or in the form of research partnerships.
