Last week, the Baclesse Center brought together all of its staff and patients to mark the 2026 Patient Safety Week (SSP). This must-attend event highlighted the facility’s culture of quality and risk management through a variety of fun and interactive awareness-raising activities.
A rich and diverse program
Several themed workshops and key events punctuated the week, addressing the major challenges in patient safety:
- Practical and educational workshops for healthcare teams (covering patient identification, infection control, medication, pain management, and flu vaccination).
- A workshop to raise awareness about sustainable development issues in healthcare (featuring the “Plan Health Faire” game), open to all professionals.
- Information and outreach sessions on the role of User Representatives and the User Commission, open to everyone—professionals and users alike.
- The Big Interdepartmental "Quality & Risk Management" Quiz.
A total of 430 professionals attended the workshops throughout the week.
The Quality Quiz was a great success, with 20 departments and nearly 168 professionals participating. This challenge resulted in a total of more than 84 hours of awareness-raising activities .

The event concluded with the traditional awards ceremony presided over by Professor Roman Rouzier, Executive Director, to recognize the teams that answered the most questions correctly in the quiz in the shortest amount of time:
- "Video Quiz" Category: The Teaching Department took first place with 56% correct answers.
- "Healthcare Services Quiz" Category: The top three spots went to the USIP (Multipurpose Intensive Care Unit) team (1st place with 61% correct answers), followed by the CEMAB (Outpatient Medical Center) team (2nd place) and the Outpatient Surgery team (3rd place).
The Baclesse Center extends its warmest thanks to all participants, the departments involved, and the facilitators for their enthusiasm. These highlights serve as a reminder of the importance of everyone’s daily commitment to ensuring the safety of patient care and the quality of patient treatment.
