Auriculotherapy
Auriculotherapy is a complementary medicine that uses reflex zones in the auricle. With no significant side effects, it can be used to treat a wide range of symptoms associated with cancer or its treatment. (Hot flushes, hyposialia (dry mouth), taste and smell disorders, nausea, vomiting, anxiety...). Treatment is tailored to each patient's specific symptom.
This technique involves the placement of small, sterile, single-use needles on precise points in the ear, representing different parts of the body. These semi-permanent needles, called ASPs, remain in place for a few days, then fall out spontaneously.
For patients treated at the Centre François Baclesse, auriculotherapy is offered:
- on medical or paramedical request.
- in individual consultation.

Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a complementary medicine used to treat pain following surgery or radiotherapy, particularly after lymph node removal. It is also used to treat pain associated with muscular contractures.
This technique uses injectable drugs, which are deposited on the skin opposite painful areas, sometimes supplemented by superficial micro-injections.
Mesotherapy can be combined with all drug treatments, and has few side-effects or contraindications, even in polymedicated patients.
Mesotherapy is available for patients treated at the Centre François Baclesse:
- on medical or paramedical request.
- in individual consultation.
