Missions
The Center's pain structure has been accredited as a "Pain Assessment and Treatment Center" (CETD) in oncology by the Agence Régionale de Santé Normandie (ARS). The CETD provides multi-professional, interdisciplinary pain management for patients during and after cancer treatment.
Care services
The CETD of the Centre François Baclesse offers :
- Consultations :
- at a doctor's request, for assessment of pain (including complex intractable pain) requiring special management.
- psychological pain management with a psychologist or psychiatrist.
- Medicated and non-medicated techniques :
- oral medications or infusions
- neuro-stimulation,
- mesotherapy,
- auriculotherapy.
- Day and weekday hospital stays for specific treatments.
- Involvement of a Mobile Pain Team (pain doctor and/or nurse):
The Mobile Pain Team works mainly with patients hospitalized at the Centre Baclesse whose treatment requires specific pain assessment and/or readjustment. The mobile pain team is called in at the written request of the medical and nursing team, specifying the reason and degree of urgency.
