For the 3rd year running, the "Sourire et Détente" association, with the support of the municipality of Bernières-sur-Mer, has been mobilized to mark October Rose.
Several events raised awareness of breast cancer screening and raised funds for the Centre Baclesse:
- Throughout October :
→ The town hall was adorned with pink woollen bows made by members of the association.
→ Pink October piggy banks were made available to customers in some of the town's shops.
- Saturday, October 21, 2023:
→ A 5km "Solidarity" Pink Walk brought together almost 100 motivated walkers despite the rainy weather.

On November 16, 2023, Françoise LEBREC, president of the association, Nadine SALLARD, vice-president and Brigitte GADBOIS, treasurer, proudly presented a cheque for €1,730 to Géraldine PAYEN, in charge of donations and donor relations, to support breast cancer research at the Centre Baclesse.
