André VERMES, who passed away in January 2023, was deeply involved in community work and always willing to give his time to others. For example, he was an active member of the "Tulips Against Cancer" campaign for 12 years.

He was a great supporter of the Centre Baclesse, and in particular of its work on behalf of children with cancer. In keeping with his commitment, his family asked that the donations collected at his burial be used to decorate one of the waiting areas at the proton therapy site.

Two paintings by Pop Art artist Journou-Designer now adorn the walls of the waiting room dedicated to children and teenagers undergoing cancer treatment.

" He would be happy to see these paintings," concluded his wife and one of his daughters, who came to visit the premises, with pride and emotion.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
