On September 24, the Centre Baclesse was delighted to welcome Les Tulipes contre le cancer d'Évrecy, for their traditional cheque presentation. This year, a donation of 17,992 euros was presented to the Centre, in support of cancer research.
A moment of sharing and generosity
The ceremony was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, bringing together volunteers, partners in the operation and representatives of the Centre Baclesse. Professor Roman ROUZIER, General Manager of the Centre, took the floor to salute the commitment of "Tulips Against Cancer" and to present the Centre's missions, research projects and the concrete impact of donations.
It was also an opportunity to thank the many volunteers, farmers and committed partners who make it possible for this solidarity initiative to continue so successfully.
Mobilization continues
As soon as this year's event is over, the team of volunteers is already mobilizing for the next campaign: 54,000 tulip bulbs have been ordered and will soon be planted on plots of land kindly made available by farmers.
In spring, the flowers will be harvested and sold in bouquets at markets, in local shops or at stand-by sales organized by our partners.
All proceeds are donated to cancer centers such as the Centre Baclesse, to support medical research and finance cutting-edge scientific equipment.
Thank you for your solidarity
The Centre Baclesse extends its sincerest thanks to the association Les Tulipes contre le cancer d'Évrecy, to their loyal partners, and to all the volunteers who, every year, give their time and energy to support the Centre Baclesse, its teams and its patients.
Thanks to this collective mobilization, solidarity takes root... and research advances.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
