On the strength of his first bicycle trip around the English Channel last October, which raised 1,200 euros for research, Alexis Chardon, a laboratory technician at the Baclesse Centre, set off this morning for a new challenge!
On Thursday May 04, 2023, Alexis Chardon, accompanied by a doctor from the Henri Becquerel Center in Rouen, and 3 friends, set off on a new adventure of 700 kilometers by bike in 4 days, heading for Lille and passing through Rouen.
Beyond the sporting challenge, they are mobilizing to highlight C3 cooperation and to contribute financially to a project common to these 3 Cancer Centers: the acquisition of an anatomopathology slide scanner, which is the starting point for the management of cancer patients. This automated system requires less handling and, above all, makes exchanges between pathologists at the different centers easier, smoother and faster, speeding up diagnosis of the most difficult cases.
Along the way, professionals from the Henri Becquerel and Oscar Lambret Centers will be joining our brave souls to share a moment with them, travel a little way together and, above all, support their project.
