On May 8 and 9, 2024, the soccer club, USI La Graverie, near Vire (14), organized a major sporting event in aid of the Centre Baclesse. The initiative was a great success, raising a total of 1,500 euros to support the hospital's activities.
USI La Graverie: athletes with a big heart
A series of sporting and festive events were organized to mark the occasion, including a solidarity walk and soccer tournaments, attracting numerous participants of all ages. On May 8, the day ended with concerts followed by a fireworks display that lit up the Virois sky. These events created a moment of sharing and solidarity around an important cause: the fight against cancer.
On Thursday May 30, event organizers Franck MARY, President of USI La Graverie, accompanied by Nadine MARY and Steve DURAND, presented a cheque for 1,500 euros to Géraldine PAYEN, in charge of donations and donor relations at the Centre Baclesse, to fund projects to improve patient comfort.

The Centre Baclesse would like to extend its warmest thanks to USI La Graverie, its organizers, its players and all those involved in this sports and solidarity project. It raised public awareness of the fight against cancer, and raised valuable funds for the Centre Baclesse and the patients it cares for.
