We welcome Carla MATTA, who joins the Center as Director of Care, effective May 22, 2024.
With a strong background and career dedicated to the continuous improvement of healthcare, and a strong commitment to the Cancer Center model, Ms. MATTA brings with her expertise and leadership that will be invaluable to our facility.
A state-qualified nurse (IDE) since 2004, Ms MATTA has devoted 20 years to perfecting and diversifying her skills. She is constantly involved in reorganization and quality missions in various departments, such as follow-up and rehabilitation care (SSR), stretcher services, surgical blocks and day hospitals (HDJ).
Ms. MATTA had the opportunity to work at the Curie Institute for 10 years (2014-2024), where she led major projects to reorganize the HDJ, significantly improving efficiency and reducing waiting times for patients. Each year, she initiated and successfully completed ambitious projects, such as increasing the number of available places, creating a clinical research unit, and participating in the architectural design of the new hospital. She also contributed to the development of the "Appli Chimio" app, one of the first remote monitoring applications.
Ms MATTA trained as a nurse, and holds a Master 2 in Health Economics and Management and a University Diploma in Connected Health.
Committed at both national and international level, Ms. MATTA is a member of the Board of Directors of AFIC (Association Française des Infirmières en Cancérologie) and actively participates in the work of the Secrétariat international des infirmières et infirmiers de l'espace francophone (SIDIIEF). Within this framework, she is involved in commissions dedicated to quality and safety of care, as well as publications.
Her experience in oncology, her operational knowledge and strategic expertise in care pathways, as well as her determination to remain in a Cancer Treatment Center (CLCC) make Ms. MATTA a valuable addition to our team. We are convinced that her arrival reflects the Unicancer Federation's values of excellence, humanism, innovation and solidarity.
