On Saturday, October 22, 2022, a "Pink Walk Against Cancer" was organized by the municipality of Condé-sur-Vire (Manche) in partnership with "Savencia Normandie Services," "Savencia Ressources Laitières," and "Elle & Vire." The goal of this walk was to raise awareness about breast cancer screening and collect donations to support research at the Baclesse Center.
The race and its preparations...
Martine Savary, Deputy Mayor of Condé-sur-Vire, and Patricia Lepainteur, Town Hall Secretary, were in charge of organizing the solidarity walk. They circulated information via social networks and distributed flyers in schools and shops.
Registrations are coming in fast... it's a real success!
350 walkers are expected at the start of the walk at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, in Place de la Mairie, Condé-sur-Vire.
Two routes are available: 3.5 km and 7 km. They are suitable for everyone, even people with children and baby carriages, and are supervised by around 20 volunteers.
Before the start, pink T-shirts are distributed to registrants and a coffee is offered to everyone.
Followed by a cheque presentation to Baclesse on November 18...
On Friday, November 18, 2022, Martine Savary and Patricia Lepainteur, accompanied by Anne Dekowski and Martine Coquoin, respectively Human Resources Director and Executive Assistant at the Savencia Group, presented the Baclesse Center with a check for €3,523 to support the Center's research activities.
The presentation of the check was an opportunity to meet, review the organization, and discuss the public's enthusiasm for this charity walk. The walk raised funds for the Baclesse Center and also provided an opportunity to "share a moment of good cheer and emotion, "as Martine Savary and Patricia Lepainteur noted.
This donation will further supportORGAPRED's research projects, led by the team of Laurent Poulain and Louis-Sébastien Weiswald, researchers at the Centre Baclesse.
