On Thursday April 25, 2024 at the Caen la Mer Golf Club, the Trophée Baclesse was held for the third year running. This is a golf competition organized by the Caen la Mer sports association in support of supportive care at the Centre Baclesse.
This third edition was a great success, mobilizing 130 golfers from different regions (Clubs d'Auxerre, Cholet...) and 2 Baclésiennes teams.
Donors also turned out in force for this event, in much greater numbers than in previous years. The first year, the trophy raised 2,665 euros, the second year 6,935 euros, and this year all the donations have not yet been received, butthe prize is 20,000 euros.
In its search for donors, the Centre Baclesse was supported by two families who had experienced supportive care while accompanying their loved ones. These caregivers called on their acquaintances and friends to mobilize as many people as possible for the cause. Last year's donations financed 1/3 of the foot reflexology sessions at the Center. A great deal of support was also received from various retailers for the prizes awarded to golfers.
The day ended in a festive atmosphere, with entertainment provided by a professional singer who has accompanied Baclesse at this event for the past 3 years.
Here's hoping the event will be repeated in 2025...
