La Rochambelle 2021 came to a close with its exceptional "Rochambelle Tour" format, which took place in Normandy from October 22 to 31, 2021. €90,000 was raised for the fight against cancer, supporting five local projects, including two at the François Baclesse Center. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone!
What is La Rochambelle?
Organized by Les Courants de la Liberté, the Rochambelle is a race-walk in aid of the fight against cancer, and has become an unmissable event for women in Normandy.
Since 2006, La Rochambelle has raised over €1.4 million for the fight against women's cancers. Rescheduled remotely this year, the usual pink tide sweeping through the streets of Caen spread throughout the Normandy region via "La Rochambelle Tour," the event's new format.
The 5 local projects supported in 2021
- Developing physical activity and rehabilitation for cancer patients at the Centre François Baclesse;
- Improving treatment and prevention of cervical cancer at Caen Normandy University Hospital;
- Taking care of yourself with socio-aesthetics at the Polyclinique du Parc;
- Preserving fertility in patients with gynecological cancers at Caen Normandy University Hospital;
- Improving breast cancer treatment through personalized medicine and innovative therapies at the François Baclesse Center.
