Concrete support for cutting-edge medicine

Mr Fabrice OLIVIER, President of the Cabourg Lions Club, had the honor of presenting two cheques for 4,500 euros each to the Centre Baclesse . These precious funds are intended to support the Centre's cancer research activities. This financial support is essential to enable our teams to advance their research work and offer new perspectives to patients.

The evening also featured a presentation by Mélanie BRIAND, Translational Research Engineer at the Centre Baclesse, within the Inserm Unit U1086 Anticipe. She presented the team's latest advances and future challenges in organoids. These miniaturized models of organs, developed in the laboratory, represent a major advance in understanding cancers and testing new treatments. Researchers working tirelessly to develop precision medicine for ovarian cancer.

Mélanie BRIAND warmly thanked all those present for their involvement in the fund-raising activities. She emphasized just how valuable these donations from the Cabourg Lions Club are, providing researchers with the concrete means to take action and pursue their innovative research.

THANK YOU!

The evening then continued with a delicious cocktail reception, encouraging exchanges and sharing between Lions Club members, their partners and the volunteers present, all united by the same desire toaccelerate cancer research and thus roll back the disease.
The Cabourg Lions Club once again demonstrates its essential role in supporting medical research. Initiatives such as "Tulips Against Cancer" are real breaths of hope for science and patients alike.
