Laboratory Tour

Last May, the Baclesse Center was pleased to welcome members of the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club to its research building, which houses the BioTICLA laboratory, part of the Inserm U1086 ANTICIPE unit.
This visit provided an opportunity to showcase the research being conducted by our scientific teams on women’s cancers and to offer a concrete example of how the funds raised through the “Tulips Against Cancer” campaign are being used.
A donation of 14,000 euros for research
Following up on this event, on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Ekklesia Hall in Tinchebray-Bocage, the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club presented a check for 14,000 euros to the Baclesse Center to support research into women’s cancers.

This grantwill support projects aimed at better understanding the biological mechanisms involved in these cancers, identifying new biomarkers, and contributing to the development of more personalized treatment approaches for the benefit of patients.
A Loyal Commitment
Organized for many years by the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club, the “Tulips Against Cancer” initiative relies above all onthe steadfast commitment of its members and volunteers. Through their efforts, they turn this grassroots initiative into tangible support for cancer research every year, with the backing of local partners—shop owners, artisans, residents, and farmers who provide the plots of land—who stand alongside them in this cause.
This year, the Vire Lions Club also lent a hand, helping to build on the spirit of solidarity initiated and led by the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club. Year after year, this initiative continues to grow, with ever-increasing amounts raised to benefit the François Baclesse Center.
The Baclesse Center extends its warmest thanks to the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club for its steadfast support, renewed trust, and leading role in this initiative, which demonstrates a remarkable local commitment to the fight against cancer. Thanks to this effort, the funds raised are making a tangible contribution to advances in research, for the benefit of patients.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone!
