On Thursday June 19, 2025, the Falaise Lions Club brought together volunteers, donors and beneficiaries to celebrate the success of the "Tulips Against Cancer" operation. This 2025 edition will go down in the annals: thanks to an unprecedented mobilization, the association was able to collect and redistribute the record sum of €45,000 to various local structures and associations.
16,000 euros for the Centre François Baclesse
One of the main beneficiaries of this record-breaking fund-raising campaign was the Centre Baclesse in Caen, a major player in cancer research and care in Normandy, which received 16,000 euros. This substantial donation, equivalent to that given to the Ligue contre le cancer, is intended to actively support the Centre's research projects and reinforce their actions in the fight against cancer.
The 2025 edition was boosted by the Tulip Run-Walk, which attracted 2,100 participants. This event demonstrated the deep commitment of the local population and played a crucial role in the significant increase in funds raised, testifying to the collective determination to support the fight against cancer.
