As part of the PIANOFORTE European partnership, this week sees the third session of intensive courses in the teaching department of the Centre Baclesse.
Under the direction of Prof. Siamak HAGHDOOST (University of Caen) and Prof. Jacques BALOSSO (Grenoble University Hospital), this program brought together international experts to explore major advances in radiobiology and oncology, with a particular focus on innovative particle therapies.
Over the course of the week, participants can delve deeper into topics such as :
- The radiobiological and clinical bases of particle irradiation
- Effects on the cardiovascular and cerebral systems, particularly in paediatrics
- Molecular signatures (microRNAs), oxidative stress, DNA repair and carcinogenesis
The program also includes group work, poster preparation, visits to the radiotherapy department at the Centre Baclesse and the CYCLHAD cyclotron, not forgetting convivial exchanges.
