For the fourth consecutive year, the Baclesse Center participated in the national “Mai à vélo” challenge as part of the Unicancer community. This challenge encourages cycling throughout France. This year,63 staff membersfrom the Center took part and collectively covered12,122 km.
This impressive achievement places Baclesse infirst place among Normandy employersparticipating in this challenge: first in the region under the Unicancer banner alongside the Becquerel Center in Rouen, and first among employers in Caen-la-Mer. The Unicancer group, with its 23 cancer centers, ranks 15th nationally among employers.
Congratulations to all participants at the Baclesse Center for their commitment to sustainable mobility, and a special shout-out to the top three.

- 1st: Nathan ROUX (5th floor of the inpatient ward) – 1,201 km
- 2nd: Elise MACKOWIAK (operating room) – 1,129 km
- 3rd: Fabrice GUICHARD (Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics) – 1,047 km

- Tied for first place: Sophie JAVILLIER (Human Resources) – 35 trips
- Tied for first place: Boris BOUREAU (pharmacy) – 35 trips
- 3rd: Tanguy MOULIN (5th floor of the inpatient ward) – 30 trips
As part of this challenge, the Center also proposed several concrete measures to promote sustainable mobility.
In partnership with Twisto, a"Twisto Free for 1 Month"event was held on May 21, giving employees the opportunity to try out the public transit system and rent a Véloloc bike (18 employees took advantage of this offer).
On May 26,a bicycle repair stationstaffed by a professional from Normandy was also made available to employees (15 employees took advantage of the service).
These initiatives are fully in line with the Centre Baclesse’s sustainable mobility policy, which was recognized with the awardof the “Pro-Bike Employer” gold-level certificationin September 2025.
