On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the Baclesse Center welcomed contemporary artist Jordane Saget for an artistic intervention within the establishment, as part of the "Les Escales" project. This encounter between art and health offered patients, relatives, and professionals a moment of creation and sharing at the heart of the healthcare facility.
A collaborative work as part of Blue March
In the centralized consultation corridor, Jordane Saget created a temporary participatory artwork using blue-tinted Meudon white. Patients and their loved ones who wished to do so were able to try out his technique and contribute to this collective creation.
This event was part of Blue March, a month dedicated to raising awareness about colorectal cancer screening. Through this artistic and participatory event, the goal was also to remind people of the importance of screening, a simple action that can save lives.
A lasting creation for the oncology day hospital
Alongside this temporary work, the artist also created a permanent piece in white on the windows of the corridor leading to the oncology day hospital. His distinctive lines now accompany patients and staff, transforming this passageway into a space marked by art and creativity.
Art as a moment of encounter
This initiative was made possible thanks to institutional support from Pierre Fabre Laboratories and is part of the "Les Escales" project, which offers artistic interventions in healthcare facilities.
By inviting art into healthcare settings, these initiatives create moments of respite, encounter, and sharing, where the creative process itself becomes a collective experience.
Jordane Saget's visit to the Baclesse Center has left a double mark: a lasting work of art in the corridors of the establishment and the memory of a moment of creativity shared with patients and their loved ones.
