Ranked 1st among Newsweek hospitals
This puts France in 1st place among the hospitals recognized by Newsweek in this category. To guarantee the quality and validity of this study, Newsweek and Statista have developed a comprehensive methodology based on 3 evaluation criteria:
1/ Recommendation of the facility by peer experts (doctors, nurses, hospital directors) = 55% of the score.
The methodology specifies :
Given that only a relatively small number of hospitals per country are represented on this list, the fact that these specialist hospitals have been recommended by peers frequently enough to make the list is a huge distinction from other specialist hospitals in the same medical field.
2/ Patient satisfaction survey (e-satis) = 15% of score ;
3/ Quality indicators = 30% of the score: (Patient rights, Patient stay, Medication management, Quality and risk management, Infectious risk, Patient file, Emergency management, Operating theatre organization, Endoscopy safety)
The survey is based on indicators made available by the Haute Autorité de Santé(www.scopesante.fr).
