For the past three years, Hérouville-Saint-Clair's Comité des œuvres sociales (Cos) has been organizing a pink day in aid of the Centre Baclesse, to mark October Rose.

Pink day at the town hall

The aim of this day, aimed at city employees, is to raise awareness of breast cancer screening and raise funds for the Centre Baclesse.

For this 2023 edition, Bérengère COUEDEL, Florence BURGUET and Catherine BEAUREPERE, the organizers, have succeeded in mobilizing their colleagues from various municipal departments such as green spaces, crèches, retirement homes...
It is also thanks to the commitment of their partners, Crédit mutuel, MUTAME, Crédit Agricole Normandie and the Société d'économie mixte d'Hérouville-Saint-Clair, that this "Pink October" operation was able to be set up.

Dressed in pink and to the rhythm of Alexandrie, Alexandra, the city's employees made the day a day of solidarity and teamwork. A great way to work together for a good cause!

To raise funds, Florence BURGUET has created and decorated a "goodies" cart that can be used in all departments of the town hall to offer "octobre rose" shopping cart tokens and bottle openers in exchange for a donation. All funds raised will be donated to the Centre Baclesse.

A fine show of support

On Wednesday February 7, 2024, Bérengère COUEDEL and Catherine BEAUREPERE were proud to present a cheque for €2,123 to Hermeline DELEPOUVE, Director of Communications and Fundraising, and Géraldine PAYEN, Donations and Donor Relations Officer, to further research into triple-negative breast cancer: theTriplex clinical trial.
