Activities
The WMC Clinical Research Department's Promotion Unit designs, implements and monitors clinical trials sponsored by the WMC, in accordance with regulations.
It ensures that clinical trials proposed by CFB clinicians and caregivers are submitted to the various calls for tender and regulatory bodies (Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament, Comités de protection des personnes, Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, etc.).
It ensures the safety of patients included in trials promoted by the WMC, by monitoring these trials in accordance with regulations.
Biostatisticians help design clinical trials, defining the most appropriate methodology, and draw up data analysis reports at the end of the study, enabling the coordinating physician to promote the results of his or her research, notably in the form of publications in scientific journals or oral and written presentations at congresses.
