On Tuesday June 20, at the Résidence de la Hamardière, the President of the Domfront-en-Poiraie Lions Club presented Hermeline Delepouve, Director of Communications and Sponsorship at the Centre Baclesse, with a cheque for €8,000 to support the establishment's research activities.
The donation comes from the "Tulips Against Cancer" operation organized by the Domfront-en-Poiraie Lions Club. Starting in April 2023, some 150 service club members and volunteers spent three weeks picking the tulips planted in November and forming the bouquets. The bouquets were then sold at the Domfront market, in the town's supermarkets and after mass, raising funds for the Centre Baclesse.
This €8,000 contribution will be supplemented at a later date by a donation of €2,000 specifically earmarked for the co-financing of equipment adapted to pediatric cancers.
