On Friday, May 24, 2024, Michel BICHOT, president of the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club (61), presented a check for €13,000 to Christophe DENOYELLE, a researcher at the Baclesse Center. This donation, the result of the "Tulips Against Cancer" campaign, will support the research work of this researcher and his team.
Faithful support
The ceremony was attended by around forty people, including the town's mayor, Josette PORQUET.
For several years now, the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club has been working alongside the Centre Baclesse. It supports research into women's cancers by members of the BioTICLA laboratory of Inserm Unit 1086 Anticipe.
Each year, Christophe Denoyelle takes advantage of the cheque presentation ceremony to present the latest advances in the team's work to Lions Club members. This invaluable moment allows him to communicate the concrete use of donations by researchers, and to thank all Lions Club volunteers for their faithful generosity.
Tulips against Cancer" campaign
The Tinchebray Lions Club organizes a tulip sale for the Centre Baclesse. Lions Club members are responsible for all stages of the operation: planting, harvesting, preparation and sale of the bouquets, which take place over a period of 4 to 5 weeks, depending on weather conditions. This year's operation was a resounding success, with 65,000 bulbs planted and over 50,000 tulips sold.
THANK YOU to the Tinchebray-Condé Lions Club for supporting us!
