TheTulipes en Val-ès-Dunes association has completed its second season of planting, harvesting and selling tulips in aid of the Centre Baclesse. This 2024 season raised €17,000 for Baclesse's pediatric radiotherapy department.
Solidarity in action
In 2023, the association contributed to the acquisition of new DYN'R blocked inspiration treatment equipment.
In 2024, Les Tulipes en Val-ès-Dunes, plans to support the installation of a video-protection screen for radiotherapy treatment rooms.
About Tulipes en Val-ès-Dunes
The association "Tulipes en Val ès Dunes" was founded in 2022 with the aim of raising funds to support the fight against cancer. Every year, it organizes the planting of thousands of tulips on land kindly provided by a farmer. The bulbs are then sold to the public, and the profits are donated to the Baclesse Center.
By the end of 2023, over 51,000 bulbs had been planted. Picking began on March 19, 2024, and ended on April 13. Eleven pickings were carried out, with an average of 2,000 to 6,000 tulips per picking.
