At the SANTEXPO 2021 trade show, the Pharmacy team from the Centre François Baclesse - Caen won the Coup de cœur prize for DEF'IT, the Task Interruption Challenge awarded by Unicancer. With their reinterpretation of the song "Parle à ma main" by Fatal Bazooka, the Baclesse team emphasized the human factor in task interruption.

The Coup de Coeur DEF'IT prize was awarded on the Unicancer stand to the Pharmacy team, represented by Rudy Rondeau (logistics officer), Angélique Léger, Ingrid Gentil and Julie Castel (pharmacy assistants).

In early 2021, Unicancer, under the impetus of the Toulouse University Cancer Institute, proposed that all Cancer Centers (CLCC) take up the challenge of raising awareness among professionals of the risks associated with task interruptions. The teams involved were asked to produce videos in their departments, highlighting a situation that could be risky if interrupted, and the improvement measures that could prevent it.
Six cancer centers took part in DEF'IT: the IUCT Oncopôle (Toulouse), the Centre Léon Bérard (Lyon), the Institut de Cancérologie de l'Ouest (Angers/Nantes), the Centre Antoine Lacassagne (Nice), the Centre Henri Becquerel (Rouen) and the Centre François Baclesse (Caen).
" The in-depth work linked to task interruptions must be carried out over the long term, and calls into question both individual and collective behaviours. That' s why we chose Déf'IT to highlight the human factor above all organizational factors. Our motto was: " Become aware in order to understand... so that you can act to succeed! " explains Fabienne Divanon, Head of Pharmacy at the Centre François Baclesse.
" Acculturation is certainly a major lever, but it's not the only answer; we now need to test the proposed tools and perhaps adopt them.
Beyond the emulation and enthusiasm created by this challenge, the Déf'IT inter-CLCC was also a real interlude of lightness and cohesion against the gloom linked to the health crisis.
Winning a national prize is a great source of pride for the Pharmacy team!
" she concludes.
