On February 24, 2025, the KOESIO Foundation made a €6,000 donation to the Centre BACLESSE, in the presence of François GERNIER, care research coordinator, and Emmanuelle LEFORESTIER and Claire MAHIEU, day hospital nurses. The money, presented by Christophe PARAIN, KOESIO's Managing Director, and Cyril DIAS, Director of the Hérouville-Saint-Clair branch, will be used to complete the financing of two cooling helmets.
Cooling helmets: practical support for patients
Chemotherapy treatments can cause hair loss. Cooling helmets, by cooling the scalp to a temperature close to 0°C, limit this loss and promote faster, better-quality regrowth.
As part of the ICELAND clinical study, a cooling helmet device was loaned to the Centre BACLESSE to assess its effectiveness in reducing hair loss during chemotherapy, thus offering real support to patients. The presence of this device also enabled us to demonstrate its operation to the KOESIO team.

The KOESIO Foundation: participatory and collective solidarity
This foundation is based on a model of solidarity and participation, actively involving the company's employees. Each quarter, they are given a fund which they can use to support solidarity projects in the environmental, health, education or social fields. This approach enables everyone to choose the initiatives they wish to support, reinforcing both individual and collective commitment within the company.
A concrete example of this model is the financing of cooling helmets. This project was spearheaded by Émilie ONFROY, HR Assistant, and Nadège GOUESSAN, HR Advisor, both of whom are sympathetic to the cause of cancer. Thanks to their initiative, patients undergoing chemotherapy will benefit from an essential device to improve their quality of life.
Many thanks to the Foundation and KOESIO employees for their commitment and solidarity.
Thanks to the exceptional generosity of individual donors, associations and companies, the cooling helmets have been fully financed. The cost of such a device, comprising two cooling helmets, is €23,000.
Thank you all so much! Your support is invaluable!
