On February 3, 2026, the Center was pleased to welcometheCherbourg Heart and CancerAssociation, a long-standing partner and loyal supporter of the institution. This meeting provided an opportunity to highlight the association's ongoing commitment and the projects it supports. For 2026, the association made a donation of €40,000 to support two projects:
- Renovation of two family lounges in the surgery department
- TheTRIPLEX study, conducted by the ORGAPRED research platform
A loyal partnership serving patients
The day began with a friendly welcome over coffee, followed by a presentation of the Center's missions. The teams then outlined the objectives of the TRIPLEX study and detailed the renovation project for the first-floor lounges.
Jessie DENIS, Surgery Health Executive, and Cécile MAUGER, Surgery Coordination Nurse, accompanied the association members during their visit to the lounges, providing a concrete illustration of the project's challenges. These spaces, which are essential for welcoming and supporting families, have been redesigned in consultation with the patient and family group and based on a user survey, in order to create functional and welcoming spaces that best meet the needs of families.
The visit continued in the research laboratories, where Dr. Laurent POULAIN, Scientific Director of the ORGAPRED platform, and Jordane DIVOUX, Researcher, presented the research work currently underway, demonstratingthe dynamism and scientific excellence ofthe Baclesse Center.
