In Tinchebray-Bocage, the young association "Les Tinch'Roses" is known for its commitment to fighting breast cancer and its support for the Baclesse Center.

Local mobilization against cancer

Created in October 2023, the association "Les Tinch'Roses," founded by Maëva JOUSSET in Tinchebray-Bocage (Orne), is dedicated to the fight against breast cancer by raising awareness about screening and raising funds to support research and improve patient comfort. In just a few months, the association has managed to mobilize an entire community around an essential cause. On April 16, 2025, a highlight marked its journey: Maëva and Romaric JOUSSET, president and treasurer of the association, presented a check for €3,300 to Charlotte DUPONT, communications officer at the Baclesse Center. This amount, symbolizing an exceptional outpouring of solidarity, was divided equally:

  • 1,650 for patient comfort, in particular through the replacement of furniture in a care department,
  • 1,650 to support cancer research via the ORGAPRED platform

A wave of solidarity

To raise these funds, the association organized a series of events as varied as they were convivial: a pink walk, a motorcycle ride, a pink zumba, a Christmas market, a table tennis tournament, a bingo and a wellness weekend. These events, which were both friendly and committed, raised awareness and collected donations.
The generosity of local residents, shopkeepers and other local players was invaluable. Donations were made by the Domfront EHPAD, the Chanu firefighters, a bakery in Flers, and the Beauchêne crèche.
In October, to mark Pink October, shopkeepers in Tinchebray and the surrounding area multiplied their solidarity initiatives: Ruban Rose baguette at Aux Gourmandises de Christophe bakery, pink pie at Lenormand butcher's, pink pizza at Au Père Tranquille restaurant, pink éclairs at Cordier pastry shop in Flers. Other support came from the local judo club, physiotherapist Martine Xhrouët, and the sale of pink ribbons by members of the association.

Thank you!

This success shows that a group, driven by a great cause, can achieve great things. A fine example of local solidarity, humanity and hope in the service of a cause that touches so many lives.
