On Wednesday November 15, 2023, Valérie ROLLO, president of the "Roses en baie" association, and Véronique BELHASSEN, vice-president, presented a cheque for €5,000 to Dr Joëlle LACROIX, radiologist at the Centre Baclesse, in the presence of Sébastien SARRAZIN, health executive, and Aurélie BRETEAUX, senior radiology technician.
Thanks to a donation from the "Roses en Baie" association, the radiology department will acquire the Veinomène medical device.
What is a Veinomene?
The Veinomène is an infrared vein detector that makes it easier to infuse patients with weakened veins. Thanks to its infrared system, which highlights a map of the veins, the Veinomène can be used to select the best vein to puncture.
This device provides additional comfort for nursing/medical staff, as the procedure is carried out with precision, so there's less stress at the thought of "missing the vein". For the patient, it also means less stress and less pain.
