Les Sapins de l'Espoir fully funds emergency analysis equipment at the Centre François Baclesse
The Laboratoire de Biologie et Génétique du Cancer (LBGC) at the Centre François Baclesse contributes to the care, research and teaching missions of cancer centers. It contributes to the care of cancer patients by carrying out molecular genetic and clinical biology analyses, enabling patients to benefit from the biological tests required for their therapeutic management.

To enable access to certain emergency tests 24 hours a day (known as decentralized biology), the laboratory has been able to equip itself with a new blood gas analyzer and other emergency parameters, thanks to the support of the association "Les Sapins de l'Espoir. " This is the "ABL90 FlexPlus, Radiometer" automated analyzer.
As part of our continuous improvement approach to the quality of our analyses, this automated system enables us to guarantee the training of care teams, and to reinforce the pre-analytical quality of the sample, to ensure optimum quality of the analysis and results.
What's more, the analyzer's computerized connection to the facility's network means that analyses can be securely integrated into the patient's medical record.
These tools fully meet the needs of the laboratory and care teams, enabling them to carry out urgent analyses "at the patient's bedside" and thus improve the care of cancer patients at the Centre François Baclesse.
Thanks to the "Les Sapins de l'Espoir" association for financing this analyzer and its computer connection to the medical file.
