On Thursday November 7, the Rotary Club of BAYEUX reaffirmed its commitment to the fight against cancer by presenting a cheque for 3,000 euros to Professor Roman ROUZIER, General Director of the Centre Baclesse.
A commitment to solidarity
During this meeting, Ms. ROVARC’H, a Rotarian, highlighted the values of generosity and commitment that characterize Rotary. She particularly praised the involvement and energy of Madeleine and Roland HEUDIER, long-standing members of the club, whose actions are fully in line with Rotary's motto: "Service Above Self."
Roland HEUDIER, a member of the club since 1975, spoke of the loyal commitment of the members of the Bayeux Rotary Club to local initiatives, such as flea markets and garage sales, which raise funds to support cancer research at the Baclesse Center.
Professor ROUZIER, for his part, recalled the missions of the Baclesse Center, where the patient remains at the heart of all considerations and decisions. He also emphasized the importance of donations, stressing that they are essential to finance innovation and advance the fight against cancer. "Donations are fundamental to financing research and innovation projects, and thus advancing the fight against cancer for the benefit of our patients," he said.
These contributions are essential to continuing to advance cancer research and treatments.
Thank you for your generosity and commitment.
