On Thursday November 7, the Rotary Club of BAYEUX reaffirmed its commitment to the fight against cancer by presenting a cheque for 3,000 euros to Professor Roman ROUZIER, General Director of the Centre Baclesse.
A commitment to solidarity
During the meeting, Rotarian Madame ROVARC'H highlighted the values of generosity and commitment that characterize Rotary. In particular, she praised the involvement and energy of Madeleine and Roland HEUDIER, long-standing members of the club, whose actions are in total harmony with the Rotary motto: "Service Above Self".
Roland HEUDIER, a club member since 1975, spoke of the faithful involvement of Bayeux Rotary members in local projects, such as flea markets and attic fairs, which raise funds to support cancer research at the Centre Baclesse.
Professor ROUZIER, for his part, recalled the missions of the Centre Baclesse, where the patient remains at the heart of all reflections and decisions. He also emphasized the importance of donations, stressing that they are essential for funding innovation and advancing the fight against cancer. "Donations are fundamental to funding research and innovation projects, and thus advancing the fight against cancer for the benefit of our patients," he declared.
