On Friday March 28, the Vaincrabe association in Bricquebec (50) was delighted to welcome Dr. Laurent POULAIN, Director of Research at the Baclesse Cancer Center and head of the "Precision medicine for ovarian cancer" theme within the Inserm U1086 Anticipe Unit, toan official check presentation ceremony held at the Bricquebec town hall.
Strong support for research at Baclesse
After a warm welcome from Mr. LEFER, Mayor of Bricquebec, Mrs. LEFER, President of the Vaincrabe association since June 2023, presented the many actions undertaken by the association to support the laboratory's research, which she has faithfully supported for 20 years. In particular, she underlined the commitment of the volunteers and the generosity of the donors.
Dr Laurent POULAIN then presented the recent advances made by his team, following on from the work presented at previous meetings. He warmly thanked all the volunteers and members present - over 70 people - for their energy, involvement and unfailing support for the association's cause.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a cheque for €13,000 to Dr Laurent POULAIN, by Madame LEFER and Madame OSOUF, the association's treasurer. This year, these precious funds will contribute to the acquisition of essential equipment for the team's cell culture activities: a microbiological safety station and an inverted stage microscope.
The evening continued in a convivial atmosphere, around a buffet, encouraging exchanges between volunteers, researchers and members of the association.
The Centre Baclesse extends its sincerest thanks to the Vaincrabe association and all its members for their loyal commitment and decisive support for ovarian cancer research.
