On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the Baclesse Center had the honor of welcoming Nicolas Scotté, Director General of theNational Cancer Institute, following the "Cancer in Normandy" steering committee meeting.
The committee discussed the major challenges facing cancer care in Normandy, and defined priorities for improving the quality of care, patient care and innovation in the fight against this disease. A tour of the Center was organized in the afternoon.
INCa's CEO was accompanied by an INCa delegation: Jérôme VIGUIER - medical advisor, Charlotte MARCHAND - chief of staff, Laura BREDIN - member of the Mission d'appui à la stratégie.
Also present during the visit was a delegation from theAgence régionale de Santé de Normandie, represented by Sébastien DELESCLUSE - deputy director, Eva BONNET - deputy director of healthcare services, Thomas AUVERGNON - prevention and health promotion unit, Eulalie CLAUDIN - healthcare services team.
Professor Roman ROUZIER, General Manager of the Centre Baclesse, and Michael CANOVAS, Deputy General Manager, presented the Centre's strategic priorities:
- indicators and quality management,
- the territorial challenge of cooperation and access to care,
- clinical cancer research,
- the contribution of artificial intelligence,
- cancer registry.
