The Centre François Baclesse wants to involve patients more fully, so that they become real players in care safety and decision-making alongside healthcare professionals.
A survey measuring the current level of commitment was carried out from November 20 to 26, 2021, as part of National Care Safety Week.
A paper questionnaire was sent to inpatients and patients admitted to day hospitals for chemotherapy. It was also sent by e-mail to a panel of 350 patients discharged from hospital between 09/15/2021 and 11/15/2021.
A total of 211 patients responded to the survey, for which we extend our warmest thanks.
The results were discussed by the patient experience working group.
The results are very encouraging, expressing an overall level of partnership perceived by patients of over 90%.
The working group did, however, identify 3 areas of focus that are now being shared with the Center's professionals and users.
The Centre François Baclesse will therefore focus on improving the following points:
- Patient participation in menu selection,
- Transmission of information between professionals in the presence of the patient,
- Raising users' awareness of their right to call us if they observe a malfunction, such as a failure to disinfect their hands.
