On Tuesday May 20, 2025, the Tulipes en Val-es-Dunes association presented a check for €24,000 to the Centre François Baclesse, in support of young patients undergoing radiotherapy.
This sum, collected during the 3rd edition of the "opération solidaire", was presented by Sylvie MORIN, President of the association, in the presence of Hermeline DELEPOUVE, Director of Communications and Sponsorship, Magali MICAUD, Health Executive in the Radiotherapy Department, and Aurore LECOEUR, Radiotherapy Technician specialized in pediatrics.
The association,faithful to its commitment to sick children, continues to provide invaluable support to improve their comfort in care.
In 2023, its generosity enabled the Center toacquire a Dyn'R device for pediatric proton therapy sessions with blocked inspiration.
In 2024, a screen with an articulated arm to project films or cartoons to patients during preparation scans andinnovative restraint systems were financed. Thanks to this year's donation, the department will be able to acquire new restraints that are more ergonomic for caregivers and more comfortable for children.
An extraordinary mobilization
This success is due to the commitment of 117 volunteers, who worked tirelessly at every stage: planting 55,600 bulbs, picking 45,600 tulips, making around 5,000 bouquets, canvassing partners... and much more!
For the first time, the association extended its actions with:
- participation in the autumn toy fair ,
- a presence at the Moult-Chicheboville pink walk,
- the creation of gift packages in a perfume shop at the end of the year.
The organizers chose to donate all donations collected during these events to the Centre Baclesse.
Sincere gratitude
The Centre François Baclesse would like to extend a huge thank you to all the volunteers, partners, participants and donors who have made this operation possible.
Thanks to this chain of solidarity, the children treated at Baclesse benefit from ever gentler treatment conditions adapted to their needs.
